The 350 species on show at the Milwaukee County Zoo are just the beginning of what is offered to visitors; the complex also provides a massive touch pool, a petting zoo, animal rides and live animal shows. For easy viewing of animals on hot days, the zoo provides a miniature train ride, a short guided tour aboard an open-air tram and a scenic sky ride. It sits west of downtown, about two miles northwest from State Fair Park, home to the Wisconsin Exposition Center and the annual Wisconsin State Fair in early August.
Open daily, Oct - Apr: 9:00 a.m. - 4:30 p.m.; May - Sep: Mon. - Sat. 9:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.; Sun. 9:00 a.m. - 6:00 p.m.

I grew up in Chicago and Lincoln Park Zoo and Brookfield Zoo. The Milwaukee Zoo is great! If you like Zoos the best value for the price is becoming members of the Zoo. You will save a lot of money if you come use the pass more than once. I purchased my pass last Summer and have used it three times already as my grandaughter loves the zoo. it has pony rides, merry go round, camel rides. The Penquin exhibit is so cool. My favorite! The Milwaukee Zoo is my favorte Zoo over Brookfield Zoo and Lincoln Park Zoo of Chicago. You won't be sorry buying a yearly family pass and it includes the parking which costs $10 alone. They have several events througout the year and last year was a Potter Theme Holloween throughout the zoo! They even had trick or treating and at Easter they have Easter Events.
