I had went into Andrew Chev. in Dec. of 08 to look at the year end clearance event that they had. During my visit I had talked to a salesperson, but was not able to reach the deal that I was looking for, Upon exiting the store the person from G.M. they tell me was in from Chicago had stoped me and offered to sweeten the deal with a $250.00 food rebate and @$800.00 in gas rebates. It sounded good and we went ahead and purchassed a new truck. Upon registering for the rebates it was learned that you have to redeam your gas receipts every month for a min of $100.00 to receive a $25.00 gas card per month, OK I can deal with that. We sent our first month worth of receipts only to have them returned to us (delivery refused) I called the number (Disconnected) went back on their web site and found an alternate number (Disconnected) Contacted ANDREW Chev. and they acted like they knew nothing about it until I started to request to talk to the manager. Then all of a sudden they gave me another number to call when I got home, upon calling that number I got a recording to visit (Gasilineredemptionresolution) Went there to find out that the rebate company filed for CHAPTER 11 in NOV. of 2008!!! Andrew knew they were luring buyers in with junk rebates. I had went back there to talk to one of the owners only to be told (If the rebates anr not a writen part of your contract then there is nothing we can do) Another words we F___ed you Deal With It!!! They would not even replace the rebate with one that is current rather then bankrupt. Beware of Andrew Chev. The bottom line is we purchassed the truck on Dec. 27, 2008 and the Gasoline rebate company that they were they were offering certs for had alreeady gone bankrupt in Nov. They knew the S--T was no good!!! Just a bunch of BS. Dont Trust ANDREW CHEV.

I would not recommend anybody to take your car at this place for any reason. They charge ridiculous high fees just for car diagnosis without fixing the problem. They charged me an amount about $100 for just 10 minutes easy check without fixing anything (an average car shop would charge you $30-$40). Then they asked me about $400 for repair, while at a regular car repair shop the work could be done under $200. A part of the staff is also rude and unprofessional. You have better stay away from them!

I took my car in to Andrew for an estimate for some work. I told them up front not to do any work unless I OK it, that money was tight. One problem was that the car had a slow coolant leak in the heater return pipe. I specifically told them about the pipe, that it had wet corrosion. I also asked for an estimate on a service engine light issue - I told them I suspected the crankshaft position sensor, which it was. To check that all they had to do was plug into the car's computer. They called me to say it needed the return pipe replaced now, that it was not drivable, and was spraying coolant all over. I said that's not likely unless they put a hole in the pipe, as it wasn't spraying coolant when I brought it in. They said they had not, and it was like that when I brought it in. Trying to cover for themselves? If it were like that, I couldn't have driven the 30 miles to their service dept. Adding insult to injury, they wanted to charge me $633 for parts and labor to replace it. Needless to say I was not pleased. They also quoted over $500 to replace the crankshaft position sensor (a $133.06 MSRP part they wanted $139.71 for, plus labor.) After cooling off, I called back and spoke to another service rep - the one "servicing" me was gone for the day - and I again said that it was just a slow leak when I brought it in, I only had to add coolant every few weeks, so unless they put a hole in the pipe it should be drivable. The service rep said "we're not THAT crooked" (direct quote) when I said they must have done something if it was leaking worse. Ignorant of what the service tech did to it for some reason, he told me that if it was drivable when I brought it in it should be drivable now, they wouldn't have made it worse. I paid their $100 "labor" fee, I guess for plugging in the diag code reader, or maybe for all the hard work blowing a hole in the pipe, & I started driving home. Within a few miles I had to pull over. The engine overheated. I added coolant to the tank, only to see it pour out of the pipe through a 1/4” or bigger hole. The one they claimed they didn't make. I called Andrew, spoke with the service mgr on duty, who tried to explain it away. Said he'd talk to the service tech the next day. When I said that wouldn't help now, I was stranded, I got little sympathy. I asked if I could get a loaner if I had it towed back, and he said no, that "Enterprise is closed." They're a multi-line dealership with no loaner cars of their own? Worse, why did I have to ask - why was a loaner never offered? With no other option, I had it towed to another dealer, who is replacing the blown pipe for about $350, and offered me a loaner without my asking. It seems, for their $633, Andrew wanted to replace the bad pipe PLUS 3 hoses that didn't need replacing, and charge higher than GM list for the parts - over $30 in higher-than-MSRP parts prices, on top of the unnecessary parts and labor. That's overcharging, folks. The 20/20/Dateline undercover report kind of overcharging. The next day, the service manager told me the service tech, as part of "normal" diagnostic procedures, did a pressure test on the cooling system, which blew the hole in the return pipe. No kidding. The test was unnecessary. I told them where the leak was when I dropped the car off. A corroded pipe with a slow leak is not likely to hold up under a pressure test. It's an excuse for causing damage they think they can get away with, because they can't get away with shoving a screwdriver through the pipe like "not THAT crooked" mechanics used to do. If you know where the leak is, test it *after* the leaky part is replaced to make sure your connections are tight. Buyer beware - be sure to tell them up front NOT to pressure test your system if you go in with a slow coolant leak, and ask for a parts/price list before they do any work and check gmpartsdirect.com for the real msrp.

I own a 2004 Pontiac Grand Prix with about 84,000 miles on it. I bought it used, two years ago, from an older lady. At that time, I bought an extended warranty through GM that would cover me to about 94,000 miles. So I thought I was all set!!!!! WRONG!!! About 6 months ago I noticed that my car would sometimes NOT START. It was during the winter so I though it was just the cold weather (since I live in WI). After a few tries (3-4) the car would finally start. I had my battery looked at (by two techs) and they both said it was fine. So a few weeks past and it happened again. My car did not start. Finally after the 3-4 try, it would start. Then it started happening more frequently and I thought I should take it in. About two weeks ago, I was at work, and as I was leaving to go home for the day, my car would not start. GRRRRRRRRR! I had to get it towed to Andrew Chevy to get it fixed. The next day, the tech called me and said he found the problem. I was very happy, but a bit confused at the same time. He told me that it was my after market security system that was installed by the previous owner, that would not make my car start. I thought that was very weird, but I believed him. He told me that he would have to take the old one out and put a new "GM" one in. I asked him if that would be covered under my extended warranty, and he said no. He told me it was going to be $350 for everything. I agreed to it and he began to repair my car. I got it back later that day, and it seemed fine. It started up just fine and everything. About 5 days later, I get into my car to run some errands, and wouldn't you know it........ my car WOULD NOT START AGAIN!!!!!!!!!!!! The same problem I had before was happening again! I was NOT HAPPY, as I just shelled out $350 to Andrew Chev that "CLAIMED IT WAS MY SECURITY SYSTEM"!!!!! I took it back to the dealership and they said they would look at it again. Basically, I am VERY confused. I feel I was "taken for a ride" and lied to.
